Euphaea ochracea ochracea Selys, 1859
Photo taken in Khao Phanom Bencha Forest N.P. (Thailand) on 2001-04-10

Ovipositing Euphaea is not commonly seen. Here this forest species was photographed
laying eggs in a stick located in a section of torrential stream. Despite being
repeatedly soaked by flowing water the female has chosen this site. The male can be
in close attendance.
