(A) 9:46 am I found it – an emerging Agriocnemis femina damselfly.
But I was 2 minutes too late, the little new life already fully emerged from its dark exuviae.
This piece of leave is only few inches above water and too difficult for a camera to reach. So I turn the leave over for a batter view. On the leave this fresh insect was extending the final half of its abdomen.
This new damselfly was not alone, for on the very same leave also emerged 4 tinny mosquitoes leaving behind 4 empty black & white exoskeleton. They are ASIAN TIGER MOSQUITO, the carrier of a deadly Virus that caused 3 dead in near by housing estate last 5 years.
