Trithemis aurora (Burmeister, 1839) Photo taken in Lamma Island (Hong Kong) on 2004-11-12
Was photographed at the same spot as the Trithemis Aurora & seemed to be interacting with them - both species were perched very close to one another by a small stream.
Keith Wilson replies: Mature female Trithemis aurora. It is not unusual for long-lived mature females to change to male colouration albeit only a hint in many cases.
EG: I guess this explains your observed "interactions" :-)
