Rhinagrion philippinum (Selys, 1882) Photo taken in Palanan, Isabela (Northern Sierra Madre Natural Park), Luzon (Philippines) on 2004-01-19
Two females of this species were encountered along a shallow forested stream
within the 20-hectare Palanan Lowland Forest Dynamics Plot being maintained and
studied by Conservation International - Philippines. It is known to occur in low
numbers in many parts of the Philippines but has not been recorded from the Palawan
biogeographic zone. Living very cryptic lives, they come out and alight on twigs
exposed to sunlight.
