I'm an amateur nature photographer and the webmaster of http://www.naturephotosociety.org.sg

I have taken quite a lot of decent photos of dragonflies found in Singapore. However I have practically no knowledge of dragonflies so would like some specialists to help identifying them. I'm definitely willing to learn more about them.

Living in Singapore, I've been tempted to photograph dragonflies for some time but have finally got around to having a go. I'm fascinated, but realise I know absolutely nothing about them. That's only fractionally less than I know about photography!

I now have quite a few dragonfly pictures on my website http://www.fulldiddly.com

Some families of Odonata seem to be very confusing to me. Is there any documents about families identification which can help me a bit more? Thanks

I have done my Ph.D. on the diversity, behavioural patterns and seasonal ecology of dragonflies from Dehradun Valley, INDIA during 1994-99. Presently I am working as a Senior Lecturer in the Dept. of Zoology, Sherubtse College, Kanglung, BHUTAN. I have also been awarded an UNU fellowship to attend an advance training programme in Biodiversity at the University of Ghent, belgium on 2001-02. I was lucky to get Prof. Henri Dumont as the course director and had learned quite a lot from him about Odonatology. I have already recorded 33 species of dragonflies from Bhutan and believe that many more are yet to be recorded in the near future. I am having quite a lot of photographs on atleast 60 species from this subcontinent. I want to publish a pictorial guide on the Dragonflies of Indian Subcontinent.

I am a professor of entomology from the University of the Philippines Los Banos, Department of Entomology,
College, Laguna, Philippines, currently working on the diversity of Philippine Odonata, particularly
damselflies of Luzon right now. I have accumulated many digital photos of Risiocnemis and Drepanosticta
from this region. I am also interested to know the geographical distribution of SE Asian Odonata in
reference to the Philippine fauna so I can have a better understanding of the levels of endemism in
our country. If you are willing to share the photo images, I would also be glad to share mine after they
have been published. How do I post my own pictures in the Asian Odonata web?
